OVERVIEW

The story begins with 33 year old Summer Snow breaking off her engagement to the successful Elliot Whitfield. She spends the bulk of her time operating her ailing grandmother’s Once Upon a Time Book Shop all the while feeling like something is missing from her life. But then she agrees to her grandmother’s wish that she take a break from the bookstore and complete a list of adventures with an old friend, Martin Langtree.

I had a hard time staying interested in this book. I found the storyline too predictable and it didn’t really hold my attention. I couldn’t identify with the characters. However, the overall message and moral of this book made it well worth the read.

Christian Impact

I loved the respect and honor that Summer showed to her Grandmother throughout this book. Martin’s life was an example of forgiveness and putting others before self in very challenging situations. The book gives the reader things to think about long after finishing it.
