This is a fast paced, high energy thriller told by Lynn Blackburn who is a great story teller! Dr. Meredith Quinn is a local dentist who has a traveling practice in her home town. She reaches out to poor families and to the elderly in underserved areas which unfortunately are areas of drug traffickers as well.

Dr. Quinn feels threatened and is also concerned for her large, loving family which includes most of the town. The police chief, Grayson Ward, feels local law enforcement is just looking the other way. There are, of course, some romantic sparks between Grayson and Meredith but he has had too many losses in his life and has closed off his heart and emotions to love.  But will the chief be able to keep Dr. Quinn safe and will his heart be safe as well?
