(Book review) The Girl’s Guide to Conquering Middle School

Remember middle school? A lot of adults have chosen to block it out – I know I have buried some of those memories pretty deep, but this book would have been a great help to me all those years ago. The Cathermans’ appealing approach includes advice about all manner of topics, alphabetically arranged, written in an easy-to-read style and a light-hearted but forthright tone. Each topic is addressed on the left page, with a joke or interesting, related story at the end, and illustrated with a “Do This – Not That” drawing on the right.
