Overview:

This is the story of the woman at the well, called Nessa in Smith’s book, seen through the eyes of three different people. Always thought of as a prostitute, now as the story unfolds her husband has left her because she was unable to give him a son, reason enough for a divorce in those times.

Adversity follows Nessa as she is passed around as if a possession from one marriage to the next–of course until she meets Jesus at the town’s well one noonday, and life, as she knew it,  is forever altered.

Rating:

5 out of 5

Age 16 and up, fans of Biblical fiction

Christian impact:

God is the living water and just as Nessa’s life was changed so will ours be today when we encounter Him.
