Jake Rogers is on a backpacking trip with his dad when he discovers a secret gateway and slips into another world. Adventure awaits him but so do strange predators and odd elements and a landscape that is continually changing. Just when he seems to get used to it, off it goes and the landscape is something totally different. Jake also battles loneliness and a questioning mind about where it is all going to take him and if the aliens are still there, waiting for him.
