OVERVIEW

This text starts slowly, the main ideas simmering below the surface, but after the book really starts rolling it proves to be a fantastic encouragement for all Christians. The stories in the beginning of the book lack alignment with the biblical messages Veach strives to communicate. However, in the latter half of the book, his comparisons and analogies click perfectly, synchronizing with his impactful ideas.

The message of moving past previous failures into God’s master plan provides refreshing encouragement. All Christians have felt the pain of a broken dream, and this book reaches each individual with clear steps how to find God’s greater plan for one’s life. The way that Veach integrates powerful stories of people from the Bible truly adds to his message, strengthening and supporting each thought. Veach relates tidbits from his own experience as a growing Christian to his readers, humbling himself in a relevant manner. His specific lessons on proper goal setting, coming back after making mistakes, learning to forgive oneself for errors, gaining perspective by doing better a second time, and using role models from Scripture all form a game plan for success.

Overall, this book is a powerful reminder to all Christians that the struggles they encounter aren’t the end of the line. There is a future for every child of God that is much larger than anything imaginable.
