OVERVIEW

It’s tempting to think it’s okay to just speak the truth, no matter how harsh it is. But what if the Bible calls Christians to do something beyond that? Matt Brown suggests that Christians looking to have true influence must combine a zeal for truth with a genuine love for people. He outlines how practicing gentleness, kindness, and other spiritual attributes leads to a loving outlook that brings much more impact.

Similar to Ed Stetzer’s recent book Christians in the Age of Outrage, Brown does an excellent job of showing how love and truth need to work together. But while Stetzer focuses on explaining why anger doesn’t work, Brown mostly comes from the other end and describes how to live a more loving life. The result is an excellent book on how to live more joyfully and impact others in positive ways.
