OVERVIEW

Chosen for such a time as this is a modern-day retelling of the book of Esther, complete with all the main characters. It is the United States that is at risk with a traitor as the President’s right-hand man, a president who is not the wisest or most savvy.  Esther’s uncle maneuvers her into the spot as Mrs. President and ultimately Esther’s faith and bravery allow her to alert her husband and save her people, the Jews.

In my opinion, readers who do not know the story well may find it more enjoyable than those who do. To the readers who are familiar with Esther, the story may seem a little contrived.

ASSESSMENT

Rating (1 to 5):

Following what God wants you to do despite fears
