OVERVIEW
What happens when someone you love becomes ill and you become their caretaker? How do you handle the various stresses or the fact you’ll have to make sacrifices you never thought you’d have to make? Mary Tutterow provides Biblical answers to those questions in her Heart of the Caregiver course. Using the course’s accompanying workbook, readers learn to express their struggles and replace them with answers about God’s provision, his grace, and his sovereignty even in situations involving serious illness.
Tutterow does a solid job of leading readers through ways to express their spiritual doubts and questions and then leading them to Biblical messages about suffering and how God uses it. Most of the Biblical ideas which Tutterow explains are basic theology, but the workbook’s format creates new ways for readers to experience the ideas and apply them to caregiving. All told, this is a very helpful workbook that addresses a topic which many Christians don’t discuss enough.
