OVERVIEW

Linda has given us a very well written novel. She takes us from the close of World War 1 in Italy to the rise of Fascism to the flu pandemic. She goes on to show the results of war on returning soldiers, women fighting for the right to vote. We also read about the early mental health struggles in America.

shows us that even fame does not replace faith in Christ. 

Other Notes:

I really enjoyed this book as you learn about life in wealth but also struggles of other classes. She also shows how the heroine overcomes sadness in the loss of love; her voice.
