OVERVIEW

Jane Butler’s art beautifully illustrates the wise words given about worry in children to young readers. This may be a board book but it is not intended for toddlers but rather for preschoolers and early elementary students. The Straubs liken the what-ifs in life to birds, worry birds. Grandma tells Willow, our main character, that worry birds were never meant to be held, that they belong in God’s hands, not ours. Through various examples, our girl Willow learns to give her worries to God.
