OVERVIEW
This series focuses on two friends, Meredith and Julia, who own Magnolia Investigations located in Savannah, Georgia. Most of the mysteries they encounter do not revolve around murder but rather missing persons, lost documents, that type of thing. In their latest adventure, an author has received a threatening letter about his upcoming book and the two investigators set out to determine who sent it and why. Investigating some of the touristy places that Davis Hedgerow wrote about leads them to trendy bed and breakfasts, a restored diner and a much loved bookstore. They have many suspects but no clear motive.
One of the things I most liked about this book is that Meredith and Julia both have encounters along the way that give them many opportunities to be used by the Lord. Kind words, good advice, praying for and with some of the people they meet produces many positive outcomes despite their difficulty in determining the culprit.
Well written and fast paced, this is an easy read that will keep you reading as well as being inspiring.
