Set in 1920’s Ireland, this is an intriguing historical novel that spells out the history of the famous Claddagh ring. Young love and disappointments in love are all part of the story.

Raised in an affluent household when women were pampered, Annabeth De Lacy convinces her father, the landlord of Galway Parish, to allow her to apprentice  in a jewelry shop. Stephen Jennings is a man who has lost his love and would like to do anything but work in a jewelry story touting the tender tales of the Claddagh ring. When Annabeth begins her apprenticeship, although they come from different cultures, social structures, faith and belief they develop a friendship that neither expected. They are learning to adjust to life from a new prospective.
