Her new boss lets her rent an upstairs apartment from her brother who is a minister in Mexico on mission work.

Pastor Miles McKenzie returns from his short-term mission trip to discover that he has a new tenant living upstairs and that he has been reassigned to a local ministry that has not been active for two years. Disillusioned and restless, he throws his energy and efforts into new projects and pursuing that same tenant, Val.
