Format:

Hardcover

Length:

257 pages

Overview:

There is a deadly mist that envelopes the earth which causes humanity to live in the sky, above that murky haze. This is Cassie’s world and survival is her goal, really her only goal until she meets up with the crew of the airship Daedalus and becomes a diver! She loves the job, searching for treasure and heirlooms and avoiding the Turned, those walking dead creatures searching for others to taint and kill.

Cassie and the crew are hired by Theodore Winchester, a member of the Five Families who rule the skies. He knows the mist is rising and is searching for the answer. Will they find it in time?

This is an exciting, very creative plot with an engaging main character. Readers are left hanging at the end of the book with anticipation of the next in the series. Don’t miss Secrets in the Mist!

Rating:

5 out of 5

Suggested audience:

Teens and adults, particularly fans of science fiction and fantasy

Christian impact:

Some mention of prayer and their higher power, Elaeros. Nothing strong in the way of Christian impact, just some slight references. Since this is the first in the series, the hope would be that the spiritual aspect would be developed as the series itself is developed.
