Overview:

Melissa was abused as a child. Her father killed her mom and her unborn child and she was there to see it. These experiences caused her to want to help others in abusive relationships and she grew up to be a family therapist with a  domestic abuse shelter.

Melissa’s  three year old sister was separated from her and when she meets an EMT at her church they become friends and have a common goal to find her missing sister. Phil discovers what has happened but knows Melissa will be broken to hear the truth. Yet they battle the storm of this together and find healing in their relationship.
