Format:

Paperback

Length:

320 pages

Overview:

Follow the lives of the Nielsen sisters as they continue the life they have built in Nebraska. This third book in the series highlights Lilac Nielsen, one of the two unmarried sisters and the artist in the family. Her drawings of pioneer life are being sold to The New York Weekly using her fathers initials as a pen name as this is still the time in our history when contributions by women are not accepted.

Fields of Bounty describes Lilac’s courtship with the local pastor, Ethan Pritchard, but also continues the lives of Delphinium, Larkspur and Forsythia and their families. The reading is fast paced and draws you into the story, hopefully waiting for the next in the series.

Rating:

5 out of 5

Suggested audience:

Teens and adult fans of historical fiction

Christian impact:

Trust in God and His plans for you even in the midst of the most trying circumstances.
