Mallory Farrell is the mother of three, now nearly being an empty nester. Her husband left when the children were very young and she has her own home renovation business. Upon receiving a letter, she finds that her grandmother who raised her has left her business and real estate, actually a rather run down tourist shop. At first, she thinks to sell all immediately then decides to relocate and start over by renovating the property herself.

A former beau, Grayson Matthews, seems to be her adversary and as he planned to redevelop the town’s business district into something less than a thriving downtown shopping area. These two are competitors who eventually find themselves on the same side.
