Overview:
This story starts in 1892, beginning in Chicago and then traveling to Texas. Penelope Snow is an orphaned girl whose beauty is breathtaking but also a curse to her. It seems to have brought her nothing but problems. She begins traveling with an actress as her personal maid; a very controlling and angry lady. Jealous, too, which causes problems with Penelope’s beauty and leads to her mistress plotting her death.
Titus Kingsley looks for the worst and usually finds. He is assigned a robbery case that seems to be tied to Penelope’s acting troupe and despite here beauty, he does not trust her in the least. Can a lovely woman be beautiful inside as well?
