Overview:

Tim Scott is an optimist, filled with hope for the United States. He tells readers of his life, coming from little resources and a tough beginning. He relates with gratitude the many who helped him along the way, also giving glory to the Lord as well. His story is not told in a straight trajectory but rather it is intermingled with historical moments that he uses to make various points. Politics and race are both subjects covered and Scott attempts to bring a balanced view to readers. I enjoyed getting to know him through reading his story.

Rating:

5 out of 5

Those who enjoy autobiographies, particularly of political figures
