Overview:

Another sweet Amish story by Beverly Lewis, one where you will love the characters, ponder the wisdom of the elderly and cheer for the young couple in love!

Clara Bender doesn’t feel there is much for her in the small Amish community where she lives. Her father remarried so quickly after her mother’s death that Clara’s place in her home seems one she is very unsure of. There are few young available men, especially after her recent courtship ended so abruptly, so where does that leave her? Clara’s mother’s aunt Ella Mae was so precious to her mother yet Clara had never met her except through letters back and forth between the two older relatives. But she decides to visit her for one week, then the summer and maybe forever.

Romance, differences in Amish communities, and transitions of all kinds are themes in The Heirloom, a lovely generational story that will resound with all Christians.
