Overview:

Doug Zimmer is at an impasse in life. His beloved wife has died, he’s lost his job, where does he go from here? His wife has left him clues, bread crumbs if you like, and because of these, he decides to bike up the Pacific Coast. He has a plan, albeit a vague one at best, and takes his revolver along in case his depression gets the best of him and he decides to end it all.

In this compelling story, Doug meets a parade of interesting characters, experiences the highs and lows of the journey and ultimately meets the most interesting person of all, Jesus. Yet spiritual forces are at work to keep him from committing his life to Christ and changing the course of his life. The persistent road does not disappoint!
