Overview:

This story was very slow moving to begin with but it was a good thing I kept reading as it was an enduring story of family secrets, loves and losses. Aubrey Needham starts out in California and makes her way to Oregon to the home and family that her father grew up with. (Her father died in a car accident.) Feeling adrift in her life, Aubrey feels undervalued. New beginnings come up unexpectedly in a new short time job. Her ultimate realization is that home and family are everything.

Rating:

4 out of 5

Age seventeen on up.

God brings people into our lives for a season, not always forever. Only He is sovereign and can give us what we need in order to carry on.
