Best friends, Debbie Albright and Janet Shaw opened the Whistle Stop Cafe inside a historic train depot in Ohio. It had been a hot spot during WWII offering doughnuts, sandwiches and coffee to soldiers on their way to war.

The friends notice a stranger hanging around, constantly checking his watch as if he is waiting for someone. When Debbie decides to approach him, he has disappeared, but she finds an old “Dear Jane” letter dated 1945 and addressed to a local woman, the retired stationmaster. For decades Eileen Turner has been hoping for answers about her long lost soldier boy. Can Debbie solve this mystery and get some answers for Eileen?
