Overview:

Interesting how one person’s trial can cause old memories to come tumbling back to someone else. That is what happens to Bethanne Hostetler when her cousin, Candace, recently crowned Miss Crittenden County, reveals that she has a stalker. Bethanne’s memories of her own attempted assault from seven years ago seems as if it happened yesterday.

Jay Byler did not protect Bethanne from that terror and that realization still haunts him, particularly because she is the true love of his heart and he would like nothing more than to court her. But both her ability to trust and to forgive have been severely altered due to that attack. Will she ever be able to get past it?

Officer Ryan Mulaney is escorting Candace to various events as a protective measure, purely in a professional manner, but that becomes more difficult as the time goes by and their attraction grows. But all four of these young people must work together to avoid another tragedy!
