The setting is October 1820. At that time a single lady can only travel with a lady’s companion. After the death of her betrothed at sea, Sarah Summers is lonely and travels with her sister and her husband on their honeymoon. She was hoping to visit with a friend in Scotland but he and his daughter were not home so Sarah returned home with dampened spirits. Life goes on with Sarah always being the loyal daughter, duty bound to her family. When surprise guests arrive in town, the story takes a turn and is filled with hopes, dreams and fulfilled romance!
