OVERVIEW

In Letters to a Romantic, Sean Perron and Spencer Harmon take an introspective look at all the ins and outs of dating as a Christian. Seriously discussing such topics as dating a non-Christian, working through asking someone out or declining a date, and understanding sexual sin history, this book covers all the bases when discussing situations someone might come across while dating or searching for a potential marital partner.

With short, easy to read chapters and smart, thought provoking discussion questions at the end of each chapter, this book provides a strong biblical foundation for how any young Christian in a relationship should respond to a situation that may become embarrassing, awkward, inappropriate, or misleading. The well written chapters clearly lay out simple arguments and reasons for the advice the authors offer. They present practical applications for how a person could realistically live out these actions it their own lives.

Additionally, this book also touches on important, but sometimes uncomfortable subjects, such as addiction to pornography, overbearing parents, obsession and manipulation tactics, and physical and emotional abuse. The authors are direct but sensitive in their teachings. This is a great reference tools for any young Christian in or planning to enter into a relationship with someone.
