Title: Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: How Life-Giving Thoughts Can Unlock Your Destiny

Author: Bobby Schuller

Publisher: Nelson Books (HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Inc.)

Publication Date: May 28, 2019

Format: Hardcover

Length: 224 pages

OVERVIEW

“What we think about ultimately results in the decisions that guide our lives,” Bobby Schuller writes in his introduction. In other words, seeing life in a positive way can lead to living a better life. Schuller goes on to explain how tactics like creating a positive vision for your life, choosing life-giving influences, and viewing tragedies as challenges leading to growth can all help people achieve new success in their lives.

There’s nothing particularly new about Schuller’s thesis. Many other writers (Christian and otherwise) have written about how positive thinking changes things, and this book doesn’t bring anything particularly new to the discussion. However, the advice is all solid and Schuller adds a little bit of theology to the mix. A decently written self-help book, if not especially original.
