Whitney Powell  seems happy overall working with sled dogs in Alaska and beint the auntie to her sisters’ children. But she finds herself rather alone after her sisters marry and her grandfather dies. She has always been the strong one and she doesn’t intend to let that change now.

Villagers in some outlying areas of Nome come down with measles and have no immunity to it. Whitney, because of her skill with sled dogs,  is asked by Dr. Cameron to help him navigate through the very deep snow and get to the village to help.

Whitney and the doctor come to realize they only can depend on God and that sometimes strength comes in weakness. .
