Overview:
This is a very sweet romance with strong Christian elements throughout. Brooke is in Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning. She is determined to finish and to finish strong. Her goal is to become a nurse in the Army Medical Corps. She and her fiancé had broken up recently so she is not looking for love, rather attempting to be the best she can be.
The story takes place just before Christmas and Brooke begins receiving daily gifts, lovely and well thought out gifts accompanied by poetry written just for her. Who is this thoughtful person? When will he reveal his identity?
Bernard, another officer candidate, is the gift-giver. He and Brooke attended the same high school, a few years apart, and she has always had his heart though he never spoke to her of his love. Though dating is forbidden during training, the gifts have been a very purposeful way of letting Brooke know she is loved. Making her his own would truly be all he wants for Christmas!
