Overview:

This short but thought-provoking book, aimed primarily at women, addresses the issue of social media. Each chapter is by a different woman, so you get a number of different perspectives, which I appreciated. Overall, the book encourages its readers to give some thought to their use of social media, the effects it has on them (of which they may not even be aware), and what, if any, changes they might need to make in their social media usage. Several authors talked about having a mission statement of sorts as to WHY you use it: for business? for connection with family and friends? for ministry? No matter which it is, what are your purposes and how do you achieve them through social media? The overall tone is not one of blanket condemnation, but rather thoughtful consideration and evaluation of how one uses social media, the amount of time spent, and what is given up in favor of scrolling feeds and frequent posting. I highly recommend this book.
