This is a time slip tale, told between the years of 1914 and 1942. Evie Farrow lives on Ocracoke Island in North Carolina wher life doesn’t change much. The German U-boars begin scouring the waters, bringing danger and chaos.

When a special agent washes up at the inn Evie runs, everything changes! Sterling Bertrand has enough injures that he must stay at the inn for quite a few weeks. He is tracking an SS officer and being laid up keeps him anxious and stressed yet he is intrigued  by the lovely Evie.
