OVERVIEW
This story takes place in 1902 in a castle in Thousand Islands, New York. Much of the story includes historically acurate information and makes the story more realistic and interesting. The main character, Peyton Quinn, works as an upholsterer at Claument castle for the summer. She is also a suffragette, and she helps her father with firework displays. All of these things are not socially acceptable for a young women at this time in history. Also working at the Calumet castle for the summer as a carpenter is Patrick Taylor. Patrick and Peyton were longtime childhood friends. They become reaquainted with each other and have some past and current issues to work out.
The plot takes many surprising twists and turns which keeps the reader engaged and interested.

This book would appeal to those who enjoy Christian romance books and also those who enjoy historical fiction. This book would be recommneded for a church library.
Christian Impact:
Peyton and Patrick exemplify good Crhistian morals, honesty, faithfulnees, forgiveness, and honoring parents.
