Overview:
This book is written in dual time, filled with suspense and is a very interesting, fast paced story. It begins in 1801 when orphaned Daisy takes a job as house help at a castle in Wisconsin in an attempt to escape her terrible past. She fdiscovers a reclusive author whose books pale in comparison to what the author herself has gone through.
In the present day, Cleo Clemmons is hired to help a hoarder grandmother who has boxes piled high along all the walls. But besides all the usual tschotskes a hoarder might collect, there is an old mystery, a curse on the Castle Moreau that intends to leave no witnesses.
