This is a hard book, a difficult book to read and even, at times, to comprehend the author’s meaning. During his mental breakdown and in the psych ward, Bryant relates in almost poetic language, the extremes of emotion and despair that he experiences.

The author would like to answer suffering, to understand it and actually there is no total understanding of it other than being part of Jesus’ suffering and encountering His holiness.
