Noted biographer, Ellen Vaughn, takes us into and through Elliot’s life from the loss of husband Jim Elliot until her third marriage to Lars Gren. Her journal entries are one of Vaughn’s sources. These thoughts are often Elisabeth’s deepest and most telling. The book, of course, reveal Elliot’s writing struggles, her relationship with her only child, Val, and her long time friend, Van, who shared a home with Elisabeth and Val for many years. This book reveals many parts of Elliot that were unknown to the general public. Vaughn has done an admirable job of bringing Elisabeth Elliot to light for her many admirers and interested readers.
