Overview:

A few years ago, I went on a 2 week vacation around northern Italy. Gelato at the Villa brought all those wonderful memories back. Robin Jones Gunn has a gift of taking her readers right along with her, whether it is the word pictures she uses to describe the place the characters are at or the issues they are facing. It makes for a delightfully peaceful read. Of course it made me want to go back and visit all those cities again.

Grace and Claire have been friends for years. They have shared everything with each other. Now that is going to include a dream trip to Italy. Each one has places they want to see and things to do, but that is what makes their friendship work, they both are willing to let the other one enjoy something different.

That is what makes this book so special. It reminded me that my good friends don’t have to have the same interest I do, they just need to listen and care. Gunn doesn’t give you the answers for your life, but she does make sure you know Who is there every step of the way.
