Overview:

Talk about the Hatfields and the McCoys! They have nothing on the Casters and the Levys. These families have been feuding for many decades, the Levy family being the powerful ones. Ellie Caster is our main character and although she dreads the mark, a scorch appearing randomly on doors, a scorch that brings a curse, it takes on new meaning when that mark emerges on Ellie’s house and her sister is afflicted. Jean falls into a coma and Ellie takes on the role of savior – she must discover the cause and save her sister. This impossible task can only be completed if she works with her nemesis, Charlotte Levy, almost a fate worse than death.

Part dystopic sci-fi, part fairy “taleish”, readers will particularly enjoy this book as the suspense builds! How will they accomplish the healing of Bishop’s Gap?
