Faith Alone

R. C. Sproul’s Faith Alone is an excellent, in-depth history and analysis of the difference between the Roman Catholic and Reformer views of the doctrine of justification. The Reformers’ beliefs stand firm in the idea that faith is all a sinner needs to be saved, but good works will surely follow if the faith is true. This means justification is only obtained through Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s grace.
