OVERVIEW

Despite walking a road frequently traveled in Christian literature, Ken Gire evinces a warmth and sincere compassion. In each chapter he analyzes one source through which God communicates His peace to His children during storms of life. Gire’s words are less prescription toward specific actions than they are gentle, encouraging reminders of the truths we often overlook.

Though he uses cookie-cutter chapter titles—each of which take the formula of “Peace in/From/Through…”—the author effectively incorporates anecdotes while weaving together relevant scriptural texts to encourage the reader. The compartmentalized approach to discussing each potential venue of peace easily lends itself to group Bible studies. This book successfully softens the heart and opens the mind to accept God’s prevailing peace.
