OVERVIEW

“I spent years externally focusing on people, problems, and pressing issues,” Kelly Balarie says in the introduction, “but it wasn’t until I started to internally focus on my thoughts and beliefs that I found breakthrough.” From there, she takes her readers through a process of prayers, tips to remember, and activities that will help them reach that kind of breakthrough.

Readers should be aware before getting this book that it is a workbook for small group or personal use. So it focuses on simple and direct statements rather than detailed theology, and there are moments where readers need to use associated products from the author’s website to get the most out of it.

Within that context, it’s a very helpful and well-communicated book. Belarie describes activities and principles in an easy-to-follow manner, as well adding some humor to make things interesting. The principles described are nothing new, but they are a solid and well-proven mix of Scripture and psychology that will definitely help women overcome destructive thought patterns.
