OVERVIEW

This book starts out with the story from the bible in the book of 1 Samuel chapter 14 of Jonathan and his armor-bearer crossing a three-mile pass that was between two armies.  Jonathan faced the enemy knowing that if they called him up to them that meant that God was with him and his armor-bearer.   Jonathan and his armor-bearer ended up winning the battle against the enemy with help from others that joined in.

The idea is “if God is on your side, who can be against you”.  As Banning explains different steps or keys through the book he backs them up with things from the bible.  The three miles are covered in holiness, courage, and faith and these are well covered by helping steps.
