Title:
The lady’s mine
Author:
Francine Rivers
Publisher:
Tyndale House
Date:
2022
Format:
Hardcover
Length:
450 pages
Overview:
This is described as a light hearted romance, actually a plot the author has had mulling around for quite a while. Set in 1875 in a small mining town in the Sierra Nevadas. Kathryn Walsh, a real lady from Boston, has arrived to claim her inheritance from her uncle: a newspaper office and a seemingly useless mine. Kathryn intends to continue her uncle’s controversial paper, The Voice, but runs up against resistance from all sides, including more than who wants to marry her!
Mystery, murder and, of course, romance abound. As for the title, is it referring to the mine belonging to Kathryn or is someone claiming this beauty? You’ll have to decide for yourself.
