Overview:

60 AD and, of course, the times were very different then. The new governor is coming to visit the town of Corinth. The chief magistrate is excited to host the governor with hope that their families might be united, marrying the magistrate’s oldest daughter to the governor’s oldest son.

The magistrate’s oldest daughter is named Prima, oldest by birth. The youngest daughter is Mariana, but she is a step daughter. Read of the drama and deceit wielded by Mariana and her mother to gain the upper hand in this play for marriage. Again, many things are different from today in some ways but similar in others.
