Overview:

Summer 1904 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania then May 1916 at the Carnegie Institute. Eliza Mills has grown up in a wealthy family. Because of her grandparents’ prestige, Eliza gets her dream job working for the Dinosaur National Monument. It is her lifelong dream to be a paleontologist, no less.

Eliza is tutored in paleontology by Mr. Schmitt along with his young son, Devin. These two young people grow up and learn together, as well as vowing never to separate. Devin goes off to college and then returns. Eliza gets a job at a dig site and invites Devin to follow her. But mystery, joys and sorrows all follow as well!
