384 pages

Overview:

The French Kitchen does center around a kitchen in a villa in the town of Rue, a place the Nazi elite dined. Manon Altier is the head chef, her role already precarious being a woman, is made riskier because she is working with the Resistance. But the book is about so much more. It is about family, trust, and what is right.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. I love learning new things about history and these books about WWII are bringing to light stories of those who stood up for what is right which makes me hopeful for a future here.

Cambron is an author you don’t want to miss. This dual time will keep you reading well into the night. Her backlist is something you are going to want to track down and also enjoy.

Rating:

5 out of 5
