Paperback
Length:
400 pages
Overview:
Pepper Basham takes fans of Jane Austin on a lovely and funny journey. A reminder of a time when social norms were completely different than ours. Where speaking to a gentleman while unaccompanied could ruin a young lady’s reputation. I for one am glad that those days are gone.
Arianna Reeves was taken in by a rogue. She hasn’t returned home since. She is ready to make amends and see her family again. But will the neighbors allow her to live the quiet life she desires? Will the new rector be okay with it?
A cute little romp through a time in history that is a joy to read about, but gladly I do not live it. Basham is definitely an author to seek out if you are looking for those delightful little rom-coms no matter what era in history you like to read.
Rating:
5 out of 5
Suggested audience:
Fans of romantic comedies
Christian impact:
This story. as all of Basham’s works, is filled with faith, fun, and second chances.
