OVERVIEW
Theodore Cabal tackles one of the largest issues facing Christians today – the age of the Earth – in one of the best possible ways. Drawing from his years as an educator, he presents readers with all sides of the debate, from the history of each faction up to the present-day supporters of theories that range from a “young Earth” to a “literal multi-millennial Earth” to a “yet evolving Earth.” He reviews websites and books and speeches and even sermons, sharing opinions, insights, and research. He shows no particular bias as he reveals these theories to his readers. However, after all the facts and issues have been laid out, Cabal then offers his own views – not trying to shape his reader’s beliefs, but rather to give insight as to why he believes what he believes. From the depth of his research, the logic of his thesis, and the sincerity of his presentation, he merits the time it takes to ponder deeply his rationale and conclusions. For those readers familiar with the writing of Ken Hamm and other creationists, this book offers additional considerations and views regarding the forming of the Earth and its age.

Other Notes
I believe this book should be a required reading in any Christian school curriculum or class, as it deals with an issue that is often pushed away or glossed over in a most unsatisfactory way.
