OVERVIEW
In this colorfully illustrated book, Jesus’ desire for his followers to be one is demonstrated by comparing it to Martin Luther King Junior’s dream for unity as well. The celebration place is, of course, the church, where we see the church as a place of celebration not of division. The rhyming text works well with the pictures to demonstrate old and young, the handicapped, colors and cultures! It will be easily understood by young children and the author’s note concluding the book will add to that understanding as it is used by parents and readers.
