OVERVIEW

It has been 10 years since Emma Winters saw Sam Ryker. Ten years since the night her brother disappeared, in a situation that she’s sure Sam knows more about than he’ll tell her. When a mysterious sniper shoots at Emma while she’s inspecting a landmark off the Natchez Trace Parkway, Sam uses his new position as a Natchez Trace law enforcement district ranger to help. Will they get the bottom of who’s hunting Emma? The case may require digging up more than bullets and old park ranger files.

Bradley provides a well-assembled plot with a mix of crime thriller elements and inspirational romance. The characters are better drawn than in some of her previous books, and the unusual setup (some heroes who are in law enforcement, some not) makes the descent into adventure and investigation a little more unexpected.

A fun ride for genre fans.

About Glarien

Gabriel Connor Salter is an alumnus of the Professional Writing program at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. He was born in North Carolina, lived in Germany for most of his childhood and then in Colorado Springs for most of his teenage years. So he finds it difficult to answer the basic question, "Where are you from?" More recently, he has published over 1,4000 articles in various websites and print publications, won an award for local journalism, and published fiction in literary magazines. When he isn't writing something, he reads and feeds his currently untreated addiction to fantasy/sci-fi literature and British comedy.
